A Nordic Collaboration with Local and International Reach

The network brings together 15–20 selected municipalities and biosphere reserves from across the Nordic region. Participants are chosen based on experience, ambition, and organisational capacity.

The Biosphere Reserves Behind the Initiative

The initiative builds on the Nordic collaboration Man and the Biosphere – Local Actions for Biodiversity, which has for several years worked with local implementation of biodiversity goals in Nordic UNESCO Biosphere Reserves.
